Donations for
Whangarei Project ( Manor Cat Colony)
This relatively small colony was discovered in late 2024 and is made up of young cats who, until recently, had no consistent support or care.
They are the heartbreaking result of hand-reared kittens who were abandoned when their guardian had to go into care. Left without shelter, food, or attention to their welfare, they were surviving on struggle street.
Since then, Forgotten Felines has stepped in to provide urgent care—this has included desexing, microchipping, and necessary medical treatment. In accordance with local bylaws, the cats have now been desexed and chipped, and are registered to a kind guardian.
We’re incredibly lucky to have amazing volunteers who help with the daily feeding and watering of the colony. They also keep a close eye out for new arrivals and monitor the health of the cats already there.
Many of these cats are used to people, and some are friendly enough to be considered for homing in the future.
We now need your help with the ongoing care and support of this colony. If you’re able to sponsor one of the cats or offer support in any way, please reach out.
